Asbestos was a cheap and widely utilised building material during the 1950s and 1960s, prominently featured in public buildings, including hospitals, factories, and schools.
Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity operates across the UK, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby. Sands work in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
Becky, our Report Production Officer from the Halesowen office, has set an inspiring goal for herself this September: she’s taking on the Great North Run! Joining 60,000 runners along the 13.1-mile course from Newcastle to South Shields, Becky is tackling this half marathon to raise funds for Kidney Care UK.
